NY Giants safety Xavier McKinney will miss at least four games as a result of the hand injury he suffered on a trip to Cabo during the team’s bye week. McKinney announced on Monday morning that he hurt his hand while riding an ATV during the trip. Initially McKinney said he would be sidelined for “a few weeks” due to the injury, but he’ll now be out at least the next four games after the Giants placed him on the non-football injury (NFI) list on Monday evening. McKinney wrote on Twitter: “I will do everything I can to get back as quickly as possible so I can contribute to what we’re building here in NY.”

McKinney has not missed a snap yet this season up until this point; he will miss at least the matchups against the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving and Washington Commanders. Dane Belton is in line to temporarily fill his spot in the starting lineup.

The Giants also announced that defensive lineman Nick Williams has been placed on injured reserve. He injured his biceps in their Week Eight loss to the Seahawks.
