Knox County was seeing a downward trend in COVID cases until the numbers that are believed to be related to Labor Day gatherings started coming in.
There were 17 positive cases in one day recently, which followed a trend of 5 to 6 cases per day. Still the trend is better than what is happening in some surrounding counties.
In Good Samaritan Hospital’s Facebook Live update on Monday, Chief Operating Officer Adam Thacker said the key word there is trend…
At last check there were 72 active cases in Knox County, four people were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, one local assisted living facility is dealing with dozens of COVID-19 cases.
The Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitative Center released an update on the status of COVID-19 in its community.
According to the facility’s website, 14 residents and 17 employees currently have covid-19.
All 14 of those cases occurred in the last 72 hours.
Officials say they’re providing this information on their website in an effort to be open and transparent with families and the community.
