Toyota Extends Shut-Down By Two Weeks

Toyota has announced it has extended the length of it’s shut down of it’s North American plants including the TMMI plant in Gibson County.

Company officials cited the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and a significant decline in vehicle demand.

All manufacturing facilities will remain closed through April 17th, resuming production on April 20th.

Toyota service parts depots and vehicle logistics centers will continue to operate.

Toyota added they are continuing to monitor the situation and will take appropriate action in a timely manner.
