The Vincennes Water Utilities is looking to upgrade their video equipment. The Utility Services Board yesterday opened bids for a new sewer camera truck. The video camera is used to inspect storm water drains and sewer pipes for problems. General Manager Kirk Bouchie says their existing camera equipment is outdated and they haven’t been able to use it as much recently.
Brown Equipment of Evansville submitted the low bid of just over 225-thousand dollars. The second bid from Doheney (Doh–Hee–Nee) Companies of Indianapolis was for over 319-thousand dollars.
Due to the price disparity in the 2 bids, board members decided to take them under advisement in order to allow Bouchie time to review the specifications and see which one meets their needs
